It's hard to believe that our little baby is now the lead dog... this is Macleod. She was born on October 2, 2006. Also known as Squeaky (click here to see why), she is without question the most affectionate and cuddly big dog I've ever known. As you can see from this picture, her favorite thing is chasing balls two at a time. She'll do it for hours if you keep throwing them. She has NO idea how big she is, and still loves to be picked up, or to sit in our laps while watching TV.
Here's the new baby of the family, Tessa. She was born on June 19, 2008, and is seven weeks old in this picture. She's about four months now, and is very smart, and very laid-back. We keep waiting for her to get into some sort of trouble, but it hasn't happened yet. Her nickname is Bear because she was so short and stout as a baby that she looked like a tiny little brown bear. She really idolizes her big sister.

This is Moose. Her real name was PJ, but nobody really called her that much. Moose was the best friend I ever had. I adopted her at the age of 7 weeks on September 3, 1992, and when I got my first job after college and moved to a city where I knew nobody, she was my only friend. We were about as close as a human and a dog can possibly be. Moosie passed away on August 25, 2006 at the age of 14, and I still miss her every day. Click here for my tribute to the Moose.
This is our big guy, Jack, resting on his mommy's legs. Jack was our special needs dog - he might have been the clumsiest Lab ever, and was just a tad slow on the uptake, but you couldn't find a sweeter or more gentle dog anywhere. Jack was born on October 29, 1992, and came to live with us in 2000. Within a day or so, it was like he'd always been a member of our family. Jack passed away on October 20, 2006, just a few days short of his 14th birthday, leaving a void in our lives. Click here for my tribute to Jack.
Here's Large Coney! She was a beagle-doberman mix, which goes a long way toward describing what kind of dog she was - very interesting. She was born on June 5, 1994 and livede with Cat for the few years before we met. I never saw a dog more obsessed with food, but she liked attention even more. If you like dogs with tons of personality and the softest ears you've ever felt, Coney was the puppy for you. Please learn more about Large by looking at my tribute to Coney.
